Uptime

Having all sensory inputs focused outward, leaving no attention available for inward attention. When in ‘Uptime’ you are focusing your attention to your surroundings and therefore you are paying little attention to your internal dialogue (self talk), mental images or feelings. You are focused on the world around you; the body language transmitted by others, the small sound that may get lost in the hubbub of everyday life. Uptime allows you to perceive the world with greater accuracy. Babies are mostly in uptime, so that they can take in all that they need.
